"I really didn’t like the phrase 'punk'—it just seemed kind of demeaning. I didn’t like 'new wave' either, because that was already the phrase used for French cinema of a certain period. 'Anarchy In The UK' came on. And I thought, 'Is that it? Is that what all the fuss is about? It just sounds like a slower version of the Ramones, or the Monkees with a bit more fuzz.' ...
