"Do good by stealth, and blush to find it fame." Alexander Pope.

Introducing the GAIA Website:
Launched April 2014.

Because of the size of the GAIA range of activities, and subsequently the size of the web site, not all the pages are fully functioning and not all of them are completely up-dated. This is, also, in some great part to the limited knowledge we have at GAIA in the area of web site design and the internet.

We thought, however, that a site '
nearly' finished with 'on-going' developments might be more exciting, than, a hole in our web space. You can, now, share our frustrations, patience and anticipation for the further forthcoming functions...

So, here we are. 'Splashing' a little, rather, than 'surfing'. We hope to have it complete as soon as possible, but, in the meantime feel free to browse what is here so far. We have all waited this long, so a few more hours, days, weeks, months shouldn't be too much to ask.

We hope there are not too many spelling mistakes, grammatical errors or design flaws...

"You can lead people to truth, but but can't make them understand it."
Bill Watterson "The Calvin And Hobbes Tenth Anniversary Book" 1995.

More news is coming soon... Or not so soon!

So, don't hold your breath...

But, if you do, the current record at GAIA is 1 minute 15 Seconds,
in a sedatory position.

"The pupil is 'schooled' to confuse teaching with learning, grade advancement with education, a diploma with competence and fluency with the ability to say something new." Ivan Illich "Deschooling Society" 1971.

If anybody would like to contact us about helping at GAIA, visiting GAIA, or working together on a project, please feel free to contact us. We are always on the look-out for enthusiatic and dedicated people wanting to create art . If you would like to help us improve the website or help us in some other way with technological knowledge, produce one of our music albums, play on one of our albums or E.P.'s, or edit one of our films, or would like to link your website with GAIA's. Give us a shout.

"You begin to worry about money, if you have a job." Ted Hughes.

Our aim is to see all aspects of life accessible to all. Which is why we are vehement believers in technology to assist deaf people to access music or audio arts, blind people to visual images and people with limited mobility to be able to go to the same places others do.

With this in mind, we hope to develop this website into a multi-accessible site with technology to allow anyone, whatever their (so called) impairment might be, to browse and access our world.

"Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad" Brian O'Driscoll.

How many more reasons can there be to give-up your Facebook account? If you can't live without it, then, at least make a protest to them about supporting and allowing such unethical, socially vile pieces that pervert the whole meaning of free speech and community.

The Phone Co-op is an independent consumer co-operative based in Manchester, Chipping Norton and London. It is the only telecoms provider in the UK that is owned and run by its customers.

The Phone Co-op operates nationwide, providing fixed and mobile telecommunications services to over 23,000 residential and business customers, including other co-operatives, charities and third sector organisations. Since 2012, when it adopted the nationally recognised co-operative brand, The Phone Co-op trades as The Co-operative Phone and Broadband, The Co-operative Business Telecoms, and The Co-operative Mobile to reflect the range of services it provides.

The Phone Co-op operates a policy of fair and transparent pricing with no hidden charges. We are committed to giving our customers the best possible service, while still promoting the wellbeing of people and communities and minimising our impact on the environment. In recent years, The Phone Co-op has supported many new and expanding co-ops, has been working with the emerging student co-operative movement and has invested extensively in renewable energy – e.g. £622k went solar panels installations between 2011 and 2012 (saving 140CO2 tonnes per year) and 91% of business miles travelled by sustainable transport modes (bus, train, cycling or on foot) in 2013.
